Italian and English language courses in Lignano
The setting
This programme is designed for juniors aged 8-16 years.
Our International Language school campus is located in Lignano is a popular seaside resort town located in north-eastern Italy between Venice and Trieste on the banks of the Adriatic Sea. An incredibibly beautiful and fascinating environment, comfortable accommodations on campus, small class size, 24-hour supervision, and an experienced teachung faculty combine to male our summer language sessions at the Villaggio Adriatico successful and memorable.
Faculty and staff
The resident students are supervised, guided, and cared for by professional resident staff. This staff is responsible for the well-being of the students outside of academic hours, and for organizing and leading all the trips and activities. All resident staff members are native Italian and and are fluent in English language.
The summer language courses are taught by the teaching faculty of Accademia di Italiano, a highly qualified team of experienced teachers. A placement examination at the start of each session enables the teachers to place the students in the most appropriate language level class. The courses are taught in small groups, Monday to Saturday.
Introduction
The Summer Language Program at Lignano provides intensive Italian courses for students age 10 to 16. The summer language program is designed to improve students' language skills in Italian or in English, while involving them in a fascinating and enjoyable program of discovery, activities, and social interaction with other students from all over the world. Courses are offered in two-week sessions which can be combined to 3 or four weeks; every session includes a wealth of cultural and entertaining activities and excursion in the afternoons and over the week end.

Activities and Excursions
Besides the language courses, the summer program includes a rich choice of afternoon, evening, and weekend activities for all students which are included in the course fees. Afternoon activities range from individual and team sports (volleyball, football, beach volleyball, swimming, basketball, skating, and tennis); students can practice their Italian while working on the school's magazine and video production; swimming parties; disco night; evening strolls in Lignano. Weekly full-day excursions will take students to Venice, Castello Miramare, Trieste, Aquileia (Roman site). At Villaggio Adriatico, Lignano there is a comprehensive and varied program. These facilities include:

Accomodation in Villaggio Adriatico is in ensuite bedrooms of 3 to 6 beds. Students are placed according to age, gender with a mixture of nationalities in each room. Accommodation includes three meals per day which are taken in the campus restaurant. Bedding is supplied but students must bring their own towels.Students have three meals a day at the self service restaurant inside the village.
